MES Mampad College was established in 1965 in a remote area of Malappuram district. From the beginning itself this department has been functioning in the college. The department was engaged in handling second language for pre-degree and degree classes according to the curriculum of Calicut University. Because of the scope and wide opportunity in national and international level, the students are so eager to study Hindi every year. By delinking of Pre-degree course from colleges, the language classes were limited to degree classes.
