Department of Islamic History

The Department of Islamic History was established in 1977. It runs a BA Dual Core Degree Program with Arabic Language and Literature. The Department has two faculty members specialized in history and culture of Muslim civilizations in the world. Our UG papers give students an insight to the administrative and cultural history of Muslims right from the period of Prophet Muhammad till modern times. It includes the history of Caliphates, Empires, Movements and different thought streams emerged among Muslims redefining the course of Human history.
