Department of Statistics

The department of statistics established in1970 as a subsidiary of BSc Mathematics. Now the department offers complementary courses to first four semesters of BSc Mathematics and Integrated MSc Biology and also have taken the core papers of BA Economics and MA Economics. The department is conducting a certificate programme in 'An Introduction to Inferential Statistics'. Also the department offers Statistical Consultancy services to the needy people. The departments celebrates National Statistics Day on June 29 every year.Department hosts Seminars,Debate Competitions,Quiz Competitions etc every year.
