Department of Botany

The Department of Botany had started with a complementary course in Botany along with the Department of Zoology in 1965. As the pre-degree delinked from the colleges, the number of faculty reduced to one in the department. The department is offering four semester complementary course for the zoology students. As the college upgraded to autonomous status, the syllabi modified to some extend and is being updated regularly. The department is actively participating in the MESMAC International Conference conducting every year. The department also planned to offer a certificate course on medicinal plants.
