MES MAMPAD COLLEGE (AUTONOMOUS)

The Minority Monitoring Cell of the College guides weaker section of students to avail  all permissible scholarships and financial assistance,  other facilities and privileges and thereby addresses the deep-seated discrimination in our social system. It is clear from the demographic factors that large section of population of our country is still deprived and marginalized. Our college has always ensured that the weaker sections students do not get left behind in the learning as well as overall academic development process. Teachers and administrative staff members pay more attention to their special needs and provide them more encouragement and support by various strategies for the enhancement of the Minority students. Teachers  conduct remedial classes and mentoring sessions to the target groups. 

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • To implement the reservation policy for Minority students in the College.
  • To implement, monitor and evaluate continuously the reservation policy in the University and plan measures for ensuring effective implementation of the policy and programmes of the Government of India in the college.
  • To take follow up measures for achieving the objectives and targets laid down for the purpose by the Government of India and the UGC.
  • To assure the student diversity in the campus.
  • To provide guidance and counselling with respect to academic, financial and social matters.

FUNCTIONS

  • To create a socially congenial atmosphere for academic interaction and for the growth of healthy interpersonal relationships among the students coming from various social backgrounds.
  • To ensure equity and equal opportunity to the community at large in the college and bring social inclusion.
  • To sensitize the college on the problems of Minority students.
  • To help individuals or a group of students belonging to the disadvantaged section of the society to contain the problems related to discrimination.
  • To look into the grievances of the weaker section of society and suggest amicable solution to their problems.
  • To organize periodic meetings to monitor the progress of different schemes.
