BVoc in Nutrition science & Dietetics is a 3 years program with 6 semesters that focuses on the study of nutrients in food, the connection between body, diet, health, and disease. It is very versatile course which aims at delivering the necessary skills in the field of nutrition exercise and health required by the students to make them pro active and harvest the advantage of this fast growing field for the society at large. Being a very competitive profession it provides options for student to serve in various field including allied health care and paramedics. This course provides essential knowledge regarding nutrition its importance and its deficiencies. Through the course students will be able to do counseling efficiently and professionally. Eligibility is Minimum 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

By studying this course students can take care of a person’s eating habits so as to improve his/her health.They should take care of either inpatient or outpatient along with medical specialties as clinical nutritionist / dietician. They will have to prepare a proper diet for the sportspersons so that they become able to give optimum output in the field. They can achieve evidence-based skilful conversation and clinical interventions to use so as to safely engage the patients into a health behaviour change. It is possible to work with government, non-government and government-aided bodies to meet the provided standards of health. Students can conduct researches in specific areas of nutrition and dieteticsvia. Clinical trials and interventions. Can work in companies as nutritionist who can work in marketing, quality control, and development. Those who completed this course could work for their own in the areas such as Diabetes management, weight management, eating disorder and etc., Nowadays in schools, clubs, hotels, restaurants, etc to check the quality and examines the food being served in that place. A medical nutrition therapist who try to put food into use to treat a specific condition.

The three year course offers multiple exit options, which are purposive for those who see fit to quit the academic program at intervals. The quit options are:

  • After completing one year – Diploma certification
  • After completing two years _ Advanced Diploma certification
  • After completing the entire three year program _ Bachelor’s Degree certification
