Department of Visual Communication

The B.Voc Visual Communication Degree program is meant for the entire course study and examinations, to award the Bachelor of Vocation Degree. This is a scheme introduced by UGC for skill development based on higher education, as a part of the college education.

The program deals with a vocational training course related to Visual Media Industry. It is a job oriented vocational course. The academic program turns on designing, photography, web designing, advertising, media production, visual editing, film, animation, modelling and related fields.

 B.Voc is a unique academic program which is a rather new course format. Variant to regular vocational programs, this academic program is parallel to a traditional Bachelor Degree course. The course structure is similar to that of a Bachelor Degree course. It aims at churning out skilled Visual Media professionals in each year end.

The three year course offers multiple exit options, which are purposive for those who see fit to quit the academic program at intervals. The quit options are:

• After completing one year – Diploma certification

• After completing two years _ Advanced Diploma certification

• After completing the entire three year program _ Bachelor’s Degree certification

The achievement of this course will access to multiple job opportunities. Each semester yields with a different professional role in media Industry. After Completing the course there are immense recruitment opportunities from the reputed media Industries in the following Job titles Graphic Designer, photographer, Visual Editor, Web designer, Animator etc. This course also provides with an Internship programme of 6 months duration in media companies.
