Department of English

The English Department came into existence, the same year the college started functioning, in the year 1965. At the beginning the Department catered to the needs of the Pre-Degree and degree students who took up English as a first language. In 2001 the degree course in English Literature with Journalism and Public Relations as subsidiaries was sanctioned to the college. At present, there are six permanent teachers and three guest faculty teaching the students at degree level.
