Department of Chemistry

The glorious journey of the Department of Chemistry began in the year 1965 and was upgraded in 1979 with the introduction of B.Sc. Chemistry and M.Sc. Chemistry in 1993. Now it is one of the leading research departments in M.E.S. Mampad College. Students are motivated and guided by the experts to participate in various programs related to research, culture, sports and academics. Our students get the opportunity to do their projects at reputed national institutes like IITs, NIIST Trivandrum, NITs etc. A disciplined environment, conducive to Teaching- Learning, with eminent academic monitoring, is maintained. Industrial training, and extension activities are conducted periodically in the department to ensure more exposure for the students. Departmental strength also consists of 7 assistant professors with five PhD holders specialising in varied areas of Chemistry.
